Thanks to its geographic position, the place is imbued with the rich cultural heritage of its surroundings and their important museums. The building it occupies - the Palais de Chaillot - is a masterpiece in its own right. This official showcase for the decorative arts of 1930s Paris is the last public outpouring of this internationally acclaimed and admired architectural and artistic movement. Flanked along its length by pools and gilded bronze statues, the Trocadéro Esplanade is one of the most visited destinations in the world.
